I am Beverly Strunk, MD: a board-certified psychiatrist, Navy veteran, Loma Linda medical school graduate, and North County San Diego local. I am also a working mom of young children and a horse person. I understand that care needs to fit between work, family, and a to-do list that seems to reproduce overnight. My whole-person approach considers sleep, physical health, relationships, and the daily demands that shape mental health.

I particularly enjoy supporting working mothers, young women, military-connected patients, and young adults navigating college and early-career transitions. As a Christian psychiatrist, I welcome faith-informed care when you want it. Patients of all faiths and no faith are welcome; spiritual discussion and prayer are optional and never imposed.

ADVANCED TMS CARE THROUGH SOLLUS HEALTH

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) uses targeted magnetic pulses in an outpatient treatment setting. Consultation and treatment are provided through Sollus Health, with separate scheduling, billing, and records. Locations include Mission Valley, Oceanside, Carlsbad, and Temecula, with Orange County and Inland Empire locations coming soon.

Headway handles insurance verification, billing, payment information, and any standard invoices or superbills available through its platform. Strunk Medical does not independently verify benefits, submit out-of-network claims, or prepare customized superbills. Coverage and patient responsibility should be confirmed directly through Headway before scheduling.

Is virtual care a good fit?

Visits are virtual and for adults. ADHD evaluation and appropriate non-controlled medication options may be available. Controlled stimulants, benzodiazepines, sedative-hypnotics, and other controlled medications are not prescribed. Active psychosis, mania, or acute safety concerns require in-person assessment or a higher level of care. For an emergency, call 911; for crisis support, call or text 988.
